Volunteer Teachers - Al Furqan School

We are looking to appoint a self-motivated, enthusiastic and committed teacher to engage with a diverse range of young people, teaching them how to read Quran, rules of tajweed and Islamic studies.

You must have effective communication skills, to engage with the students and their parents.

Basic Job Description:

  • Teaching Tajweed for children aged 5 – 15
  • Teaching Islamic studies
  • Encouraging children to memorize Quran
  • Ensure that all students are in a safe and secure environment
Basic Requirements:
  • 2 References within the last 3 years/ good experience as a teacher
  • Good communication skills in English and Arabic
  • Ejaza or qualification in Quran
  • Good knowledge in Islamic studies and Quran science
  • DBS check
Location: Sheffield, Muslim Welfare House Sheffield, S10 2SU
Vacancy Hours: Mon - Wed 5:15 - 7:15 p.m.
