Counselling Service for Sisters (CSS)

MWHS (Muslim Welfare House of Sheffield) has arranged free counselling and support service for our sisters in the local community and to our Muslim students.

We have a dedicated volunteer sister qualified to give counselling sessions to our sisters. She adheres to strict codes of ethics and professional conduct set out by the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).

We would be happy to provide CSS in the area of:

  • Bereavement and other losses
  • Bullying
  • Substance misuse
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Difficulties at work
  • Family problems
  • Depression, Anxiety & stress
  • Abuse (Sexual, physical, emotional)
  • Loneliness
  • Low self confidence
  • Faith - conflicts
  • Or people just feeling fed up and need someone to talk to

Confidentiality is part of the BACP ethical and professional practice code that our counsellor adheres to.

The MWHS takes your privacy very seriously and ensures that any personal information is kept securely and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
